- Canada’s Office of the Privacy Commissioner announced the kickoff of the data privacy week and launched its strategic plan.
- Assembly Bill 2587 for an act to amend the executive law, in relation to enacting the New York data protection act was reintroduced to the State Assembly and referred to the Governmental Operations Assembly Committee.

- Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission issued administrative guidance to Business Planning Co., Ltd., Chuo Business Services Co., Ltd, and Company Information – Free Business Co., Ltd. regarding their compliance with the opt-out procedure according to the Protection of Personal Information.
- Office of the Privacy Commissioner of New Zealand announced that the European Commission, following its review, has determined that New Zealand maintains an adequate level of protection for personal data transferred from the European Union.
- China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology published a notice of its first batch of notifications to apps on violations of users’ rights in 2024.
- Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission issued a fine of SGD 48,000 to Mobile Chat for violation of the Personal Data Protection Act.
- Qatar Financial Centre (QFC) issued a new version of the QFC Data Protection Rules.
