Did you know? 

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act and Rules, Notice is a foundational compliance requirement that ensures transparency on organisations data processing practices. 

Format 

Present a clear, standalone and informed notice describing: 

• The itemised description of personal data being processed 
• The specific purpose(s) of processing, with description of the goods or services for which it is processed  

Accessibility 

• Provide links (website or app) for consent withdrawal, exercise of user rights, and for making a complaint to the Board. 
• Support languages listed in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution as required. 

When to provide? 

• Before obtaining consent 
• At the time of collecting personal data 
• Whenever there is a change in the purpose or terms of processing
